Jenna and Oliver were asked by Lauren Bon to consult on the Not A Cornfield project in the early phases of it's conception. They contributed ideas about soil remediation, slope retention and mostly water distribution. There was an early proposal for a lighting system that was node based and would signal soil and atmosphere conditions throughout the field at night, but this was not realized. Later Jenna supervised another team that created a more theatrical lighting system that included lighting the Los Angeles City Hall for a night. Jenna and Oliver were also asked to design a fountain that would operate purely on solar energy to set up a sterling engine and pump a single drop of water at a time over the length of an old rail road rail found on the site. Finally Jenna was called upon regularly to contribute ideas about community interaction and creative engagement of the surrounding population.
